My name is Kent Politsch. I love to laugh, to write, and design. I love simplicity and style. And, I love to learn. Mostly I love to laugh.

Zoom in on this person. I was this person (on the right).
I guess you could say I backed into web design. After graduating with a degree in creative writing from The University of Kansas, my goal was to write and ultimately to start a magazine for writers, artists, poets, graphic designers, photographers, and musicians, sort of a pseudo-literary, pop-culture rag (a hip New Yorker maybe).
Then I ran up against the huge expense of printing and decided the web was a more feasible way to go. Honestly, I love the web’s immediacy and it’s extended reach. A magazine can take a month of intense, nonstop work to layout, print, and deliver, and it may, without an outrageous cover price or scads of big advertisers, only reach 10,000 to 20,000 readers in a very limited geographical area. A website, on the other hand, can be updated with a couple clicks of the mouse and instantly reach millions of viewers around the world. So, in all reality, web design began for me as a quick and inexpensive way to fulfill my selfish goal of being published.
Looking back, it all makes sense. I’m creative by nature. I do what I feel passionate about, and I do what fulfills me. The more I design, the more I find joy in it.
